After losing her fiancé, Luke, two years ago, the last thing on her mind is helping her best friend, Jane Bradley, plan her wedding and celebrate the annoyingly, obnoxious, lovey-dovey relationship Jane has with Braves first baseman, Brady Matthews. Austin Lee, rookie outfielder for the Braves finds himself in the middle of a blonde tornado known as Molly. When her fiancé died, he gave her space and time to heal but always admired her from a far. Never in a million years did he think he would be bedding his dream girl and planning a future with her starring as his leading lady. Patty O’Neil, abuse victim and Jane’s friend, finds herself struggling to let any man back in her life. Marc Sullivan, Braves catcher and Brady’s best friend, wants to be that man in Patty’s life but is finding it awfully difficult to crack the wall Patty built around herself. Patty wants Marc as a friend but Marc wants more. Lucy Reynolds, Austin’s best friend and Molly’s worst enemy never thought she would find the love of her life while sitting in a café, eating Greek food and reading her Kindle but she did. Connor Cartwright luckily came into her life and she couldn't be happier. The only problem is…he is Luke’s brother, something Molly can’t seem to accept. "Playing the Field" goes through the lives of the Hot-Lanta gang as they tangle a drama filled web together, screwing each other, lying to one another, and sabotaging each other’s lives. Follow their story as once again the drama unfolds, feelings are hurt, slaps are thrown and Hot-Mess Molly tries to make everyone just as unhappy and miserable as she is....

Just when I didn't think things could get any more complicated, Meghan upped her game. If you haven't read Caught Looking - Stop now and go read that. You need to. Damn, This book has many of the same characters from the first book, but also introduces more and things get even more complicated. This book starts two years after the end of the last book. Molly is a mess after losing the love of her life and is self-destructing. Austin is trying to be the man in her life, but she's not letting him in. At least not all the way. Marc found his forever in Patty, in the first book and this one shows how that all plays out. The road is long and winding, twisting and painfully turning before things between these two even come close to a resolution. There's Lucy, who is Austin's best friend, but has always wanted more. Things happen between them and then, IMO, Austin shows his true colors. That's not the only time he does it either. Lucy is strong and pulls herself back together, decides she's done being second best and puts Austin behind her. Then she meets the delectable Connor, who is Luke's brother. Molly does not like that Lucy is dating Connor, and turns into even more of a super bitch. Jane and Brady are getting married, and that just propels Molly into an even tighter self-destructive spiral. I swear, this series is like a soap opera, there are so many POV's to consider. Then at the wedding after Brady and Jane leave, so many things happen like domino's falling, but in so not a good way. There are so many twists and straight out u-turns in this book, and I loved every minute of it. You get the full run of emotions in this series, and the last minute WTH moment that was there just caught me by surprise. Meghan wrote a fantastic book that topped the first in the series, hot damn, I can't wait for book three which I know she's writing, and is coming soon. I need to know what happens next for everyone involved. I think I'm looking forward to this one a bit more than normal, because Meghan is crossing over a couple of characters from her Love and Sports Series to Holt-Lanta. What can I say, I'm addicted to Meghan's writing. She writes very well and I love her characters. They're so real; snarky, sarcastic, bitchy, whiny, loving, supportive - everything you can think of. I just want more.

YOU DID NOT JUST EFFING DO THAT!OMG!Just finished the book! I had an inkling on what may happen, but no that was boy-quashed out of the water.!Molly needed her head banging together and 10 balls of shit knocking out of her. After everything Molly & Austin have been through, and just after the last hurdle, YOU DO THIS!OMFG!Poor Winnie......such an adorable little girl and it's such a shame, that Molly couldn't bring herself to care or look after her properly, she clearly needs helpSorry I just had to display my frustrations lol!I loved Patty and Lucy, there were Jan's rock throughout the wedding preparations even whilst all the shite that went down in their love lives, they still had each others back....TRUE friends!I want me some Mr Connor Cartwright.....Handsome devil....dickish towards the end but hey ho.I thought better of Austin and I'm still waiting for him to prove me wrong, he;'s on my naughty list I'm afraid, dickish move my son, dickish move....Apart from that, LOVED the book, YET AGAIN!Some out standing work going on here, can't wait for #3.....there is a #3 right? Because you can't just end it on that note.....seriously.Harsh cliffhanger but worth the read. There were a few typing errors, but that didn't deter me from the storyline. It's so gripping, and enduring. You go through all the emotions and feelings, as it's in multiple P.O.V's again - YAY

Give the guys a pat on the a$$ for me...Holy Hot-Lanta Hotness! The plots, yes multiple, thicken. I feel like I'm watching a tennis match with 6 balls in play at the same time. All of our favorite characters are still here, and a few were added. We have sexy baseball players, who really do need a pat on the a$$, and now there's Connor...sigh. Luke is my favorite, and Connor is his brother, well duh!...he must be hot then, right? One of my favorite female characters turns into a major B**h, I'll let you wait to find out who. You can then join me in ranting and yelling at the characters that we love and hate, laughing at their witty banter, blushing at their crazy chemistry and public/private PDA. Well, it's not over yet...thank goodness!..and there are still mysteries to solve...surprises to be had...characters that still need a wake-up call...and more thongs to be ripped off. Bring it on Meghan Quinn, we are ready for more Hot-Lanta!

What the heck?!I honestly could not put this book down at all. I loved and hated so many in this book, that my feelings were all over the place. Jane and Bradys crew are some of the most interesting friends I have ever read about. I was very happy with this book and look forward to reading the next book in this series.

ARC Was Given To Blog For An Honest ReviewI think that I have to put Author Meghan Quinn down as one of my favorite authors, her concept of storytelling is remarkable. Her stories are not just about one guy and one girl. Yes, there can tend to be more focus on particular couple but for the most part every single character of her ensemble cast has an equally important and riveting story going on at the same time. I am invested in each and every one of them. Reading a story written this way might not work for some, but it works for me!Book one, Caught Looking, ended in a way that left me happy at one part and devastated and ripped to shreds at the very end. It took my breath away and I was really pissed off. I FREAKING love this series. It is like crack for me. I really can’t get enough of it.The story continues with this crazy cast of characters and some time has gone by and I’m like “wow” things have changed and not all for the better. Oh Molly, Miss Molly, I want to hug her tight and kick her in the face at the same time and then smack her around some more. Molly is like a walking sex machine and Austin gets to keep putting his quarters in.Marc and Patty, I just love Marc, his love has no bounds and he fights until the bitter end and Patty is prize. Their story had me begging for more and to get some gratification but the author Meghan Quinn holds it just out of reach and had me shaking my damn iPad!!!Lucy and Conner, was the last two people I actually expected to get together, but I like it. Their story and their scenes were very sexy. They have a major wrench thrown into their relationship!Jane and Brady, they are the two that the series revolves around they are like the matriarch of the series, Caught Looking’s focus was them and their story continues here too. All of these characters connect and weave through each other’s lives, and they all connect in some good or bad way. When I was reading this I felt like I was reading Melrose Place on steroids only story involves men from a baseball team instead of apartment building. If you’re not old enough to remember that show then I apologize. There is so much happening in this story but I promise you will never be confused, it flows seamlessly and every detail is there that you need. The ending once again left me shell-shocked even though I had a teeny tiny feeling that what happened would happen. I am confused as to how I feel about it, but it is going to make for some awesome reading when the next book comes out!!!I love, love, love this series!I really would love to see this series become a TV show. Meghan has an amazing talent and how she keeps it all together I have no idea. Please hurry Meghan with book three my heart can’t take the wait!!!Be sure to check out all of Meghan Quinn’s other books, I have also read her first two books the Love and Sports series and the first book of her Addiction series and both of those are also amazing.

Drama! Boy does this book have a lot of it and it's non-stop! From the very first page I was reeled in and I did not stop until the last word. The shock and dismay continued even after I'd finished the book. Especially as I ruminated on various characters and events. Meghan Quinn out did herself in Playing the Field. I wasn't able to guess a single plot twist. The book starred all of my favorite people from Caught Looking and introduced in depth some new characters. Austin was briefly mentioned in Caught Looking and so were Patty and Marc. All three played central roles this time around. I've got to say I've never read a book where I really disliked some of the main characters. In this case, it was more than one. I'm not going to to into depth why, but I will mention them by name. Austin and Molly. Wow. The Molly in this book was not someone I liked let alone pitied. She was completely different from the Molly in Caught Looking. And I'll say about Austin is he needs to grow up and be a man. He needs to take responsibility of his actions and just be a good friend. He was a let down. I do have to say they kept the story going at warp speed and interesting. It was great to see Brady and Jane again. I was glad to see their relationship was going to new strengths. They were their usual adorable selves. I was glad to see the introduction of two new ladies into Jane's life, especially as her friends. Patty and Lucy were great additions to the story. I liked both of them a lot. I felt like they came into the story at the right time and added so much to it.I just realized this series would make a fantastic soap opera. There is a cast of characters and so much is going on. Every page brings something new and thrilling. I can't stand some of the characters, yet I can't bear to stop reading. I would love to get into Meghan Quinn's mind and see where she gets all her ideas from! This series is smokin' hot and you're going to want to get into all the action!

I’m not giving any spoilers away here! This book fast forwards 2 years and you will see into the lives of the original crew from the first book ~ Caught Looking. You will also meet a few new characters. Austin is a rookie for the Atlanta Braves. He and his best friend Lucy are new to Hot-Lanta and definitely make things interesting! They are best friends and have known each other many years. They have never hooked up but are there any sparks between these two? You just have to wait and see! Patty is Jane’s employee for JB Events. She survived an abusive relationship and has started a new life in Atlanta. She refuses to date anyone, even the hunk-a-licious Marc Sullivan. Marc has been after Patty for years and she just won’t give him the time of day. Does she ever get over this anti-relationship phobia? You just have to read all about them in Hot-Lanta book 2. You will also get to meet the ever so dreamy Conner Cartright! He is Luke’s brother. He is tall, sexy and so damn charming he will charm your socks off! As much as I love Brady, it’s now a tie between Brady and Conner! They are both hot alpha males that I couldn’t get enough of! This Authors has some super steamy hot sex scenes, you will not be able to put this book down once you start! As much as I loved Caught Looking, I absolutely loved this even more! It was gut wrenching as well as sweet and funny. I fell in love with the characters even more. I loved reading all the characters POV, you always know what is on their minds! I also give this 5++++ stars because it was so freaking fabulous! I’m now obsessed with the Hot-Lanta clan and cannot wait to get more of them in Warning Track, book 3.

Oh my god, there is so much going on in this book you head will spin! Trust me never a dull moment, and you won't be able to put it down. Jane & Bradly are ridiculously in love not much to say about these two except they try to help their friends when needed. Molly, holy crap I hate her most of the book. She is an absolute train wreck. Everyone tries to reach out to her, but she just won't take their help or advice. She's at rock bottom, and the only place to go is up right?Lucy has been best friends with Austin forever now, but she has also been pining away for him as well. One night when she thinks her dreams of having Austin is finally going to come true he pulls the ultimate dick move. Then she meets Connor, and he is almost too good to be true and when things get tuff turns out he is. Austin, Molly, Connor & Lucy are one tangled mess, but things with them mostly get sorted. Then there's Patty and Marc, who are strictly friends. Marc has been pining away for Patty for two years now. Patty is one stubborn lady and won't give into Marc. When tragedy strikes Patty finally sees the light. In the ending, there are three couples that are on the right track and one that was going to get on that same track when the biggest monkey wrench gets thrown at them. The ending is crazy, and you will want "Warning Track" in your hands!!!

I didn't like this, personally I thought the author should have focused on one couple per book. The many points of view was confusing there was to much going on. I felt really bad for Austin in the end I don't think it ended right. Brady I liked him you could tell how much love he has for his girl, "Brady could not help but grin at Jane. She looked so damn cute in his jersey that was entirely too big on her." Austin he was alright I think he just cared a little to much, Molly I didn't like her at all, but Austin I really did feel bad for him he had so much care and love for Molly, "I just don't like knowing you were parading around in that dress last night and I was not there to protect you if some guy came on to you. I just want to make sure you're safe." There's not much else I can say about this book.

Chills. Goosebumps. Screaming. That's how I just ended this book. This one was better than the first in the series, more characters, more love triangles, more drama! Love triangles make me crazy and this series practically requires you to make a chart to keep it all straight. I LOVE IT! Through out the whole book I was talking out loud "OMG! Is he/she going..." And then later"OMG! I KNEW IT!" The only complaint I have is how "perfect" the men are! They can ALL be my book boyfriends. How am I suppose to choose just one?! I can't. The end of this is a doozy! I just can't believe I have to wait to know more!

I read probably a book every day or so and this series is a diamond in the ruff of the same oldStories with different names! I loved being able to read about the different relationships from all points of view!! This one was even better than the first! The only thing I don't like is the wait I have to endure until the next one comes out!!!! Amazing story lines with characters you hate on then adore! Could not get enough of this! The ending had me speechless!!! And I normally hate cliff hangers! Can't wait to check out more of the author's books while I wait for the next installment :)

OMG!! What a great series!!!! But the ending.....that was just cruel to leave us hanging like that!!! This was the first series of yours I have read and I was not disappointed....ok maybe a little at the end but that's just because I was so caught up in this books! Living in SC (not very far from ATL...I have always been a Braves this book was IT for me!! Please Please Please tell me there will be a 3rd book in this series I can't fathom it ending like THIS!!!!

This book was just too much. I could not get into the characters. No one ever talked to each other but swore they were best friends. Everyone believed the worst but when the truth came out they felt bad for not believing in their friendship or loved one. Then I heard that the last one was just so sad and depressing that I just thought I would leave this series alone. I was skimming the first book so much that I do not know why I even bought this book. I'm done.

I was so happy to dive into this book after the ending of book one and I devoured it... but was taken on yet another raw emotional journey... I loved this instalment to the series, it was packed with just the right amount of love, friendship and drama to keep me hooked and needing more... I can't wait for the next book in the series.

3.5I think there are waaay too many points of views (there are 8 in this books from 4 different couples) and it gets confusing at times not to mention some of the characters tend to get really annoying but just like the first book, there's a pretty good cliffhanger at the end that will just prompt you to read the next book. I definitely have mixed emotions about this series.

Ummm... Well.... I didn't hate it, so that's a plus. These books are most definitely a soap opera, so they keep you guessing. I'm kinda of disappointed Michael had no storyline whatsoever. Maybe in the next book we'll see him again. Overall pretty good, but not my fav.

I sort of liked it. I was a little surprised about what happened to Patty's character. In really did not end at all.It seems like it was unfinished and needs a sequel.
