This is an entertaining collection of short stories. My favorite was Sunday Puzzles, maybe because I can relate so well to loss and Miss Fitzhue because it really pulled me in. This is very unique enjoyable collection. The writing is clear and intelligent. A bit different than what I ordinarily read though the stories are packed with suspense and intrigue. There is heart to these stories."Through my tears, I reached out and grabbed for the dove. He wriggled out of my hands. I leaned out further and grabbed for him again. The phrase "or die trying" can't to me just then, but I needed to help that dove. Another gust of wind almost sucked me out the window bit I held on with one hand, barely."Excerpt from "Jo Nepho"
