Actually I would rate this book a 3.5 and really wish they gave a half star option.I love poetry done well. I enjoy when rhyme and meter and rhythm can evoke something within me and take me somewhere else. Several of the poems in there, did just that. Mostly laughter. A lot of nodding and understanding. There is a lot to be said about a reliable poo after all. On the other hand, what kept me from loving this book was the sameness of the poetry, where every poem was an Ode to something or another, and had the same rhyme scheme. While I can certainly enjoy the tongue-in-cheek content, I think I would also have enjoyed seeing the poet push herself into pushing herself into new territory as she explored her 'Stupid' poems. For that reason it took me awhile to read the book - I really did have to put it down after a poem or two and come at it again later. I would recommend this book as it made me laugh. But I would also recommend reading it in small doses. As I said, 3.5 stars. A great effort!I won this books through the Goodreads First Reads program. :)

This is my book, so I am a little biased. But I think it's funny and wicked. You might think so too. ;-)
